BOBAR Insurance, one of core businesses, was established between 1990-1992.(in Republika Srpska initially named 'DDOR Bobar', and in Serbia and Montenegro 'SIM Insurance'). Continuously, from 1996, it provides a foundation for the development of other BOBAR Group divisions. BOBAR Insurance is the top private, and the second best insurance house overall in Bosnia and Herzegovina with regards to automotive insurance portfolio. At 60,500 insured vehicles in Republika Srpska, BOBAR Insurance holds 23.2% of the insurance market.

BOBAR Insurance provides various types of insurance coverage: people and property, goods, transport, accident liability, travel/health insurance, and other, through a network of branch offices (Prijedor, Banja Luka, Doboj, Brcko District, Bijeljina, Zvornik, Pale, and Trebinje) and representatives in more than 60 cities across Bosnia and Herzegovina. People and Property insurance coverage division insures more than 2000 customers with over 4000 insurance policies. Among more significant long-term customers which entrusted their property insurance to BOBAR Insurance are: Radio/TV of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, ‘Hidrogradnja, S.Sarajevo’, ‘Integral Inzinjering, Laktasi’, ‘Mira, Prijedor’, ‘Doboj putevi’, ‘Telekom, Zvornik’, ‘Fabrika BIRAC, Zvornik’, ‘Robna Kuca Beograd, Doboj’, ‘ELVACO, Bijeljina’, and many other. BOBAR Insurance employs 112 people, and in 2006 19.182.015 KM.
